On Thursday, February 20, 2025, students from the fifth, sixth and seventh grades took a trip to Svatá Hora.
The trip was part of Homeland and Geography lessons. But also fun and sports.
First, we stopped at the OAK OF SAINT VÁCLAV (SVATOHORA’S OAK). We read a lot of interesting things about it on the information board and took a picture by it.
Then we went up to the cross and took more pictures of the Basilica and the whole square. Across the square we slowly walked inside the Basilica of St. Horus.
We sat in a pew, looked at the silver altar, the beautiful organ and the beautiful decorations.
We were also shown the confessionals.
Because the students were model students, they were able to buy a warm St. Mountain wafer as a reward.
As a final bonus, they were able to enjoy the beautiful snow and sunshine in the alley of Svatohora.
Everyone had a nice time.
The next day, we worked on a project about this amazing day.
The pupils enjoyed it very much.
